Oxytetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. -It is one of the essential amino acids that can not be synthesized in the animal organism. It plays a significant role not only as a basic component for the construction of proteins that make up products of animal origin, but also as an important intermediate in several physiological and metabolic processes, such as methylation reactions, or in the synthesis of antioxidants, such as glutathione and taurine.

-The low consumption of methionine can generate a negative impact on the productive parameters, with a direct relation in the inhibition of the growth, in addition to alterations in the metabolism and resistance to diseases, among other adverse effects. For this reason, animal feed must always satisfy the requirements of adequate nutrients for the growth and the health of the different species destined for animal production.
